‘No doubt, it will be tough’ to make the Olympics in North Carolina

By The HinduThe North Carolina legislature has voted to put on hold legislation that would have required the state to host the 2020 Olympics.

North Carolina, which was once a haven for world-class athletes, was left without an Olympic team in 2010.

Its only other event since then has been a state track meet.

The bill, which has failed to pass, was meant to make sure the state would be able to host a sporting event, but the North Carolina Senate failed to override Gov.

Roy Cooper’s veto of the legislation last week.

The state was already in the midst of a budget crisis that saw the state lose its only professional sports team.

The Tar Heels had been looking to sell the team and move into an indoor facility.
