AZM Stadium, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Diego Padres, is going up for sale.
It’s the latest in a string of deals for the new stadium, and the Arizona State University team that runs it is hoping for $2.4 billion.
AZM will be a new soccer-specific stadium with the club, which is one of the top teams in the Pacific Coast League.
AZU athletic director Scott Schreiber announced the sale in a press conference Wednesday.
The stadium is currently the home of Arizona State and was built by the Azteks in the 1970s.
AZT Stadium is now the home to Arizona’s baseball team.
The Arizona Republic reported the sale.
Doug Ducey and Arizona State athletic director Dan Guerrero also announced the news.
The deal is expected to close in the coming days.
The AZM deal is the latest to close the stadium’s $3.3 billion price tag.
AZAM Stadium, a 10,000-seat venue that opened in 2009, is in the Arizona desert and sits on a hillside on the north side of the city of Phoenix.
The venue is currently home to the Arizona Wildcats and is operated by the Arizona United Football Club.
The team is currently scheduled to play in the 2019 World Series in Chicago.
